MAY 20
Deer Friends,
Coming soon, May 10, Year of the Mayan Apocalypse, Fine Canadian Forces will be gracing the Smiling Buddha (961 College street) with sound stuffs around 9pm. I have 3 special guests joining me on stage, 1. Friend, Producer, Drummer, and Professional Pokeman Appraiser - Andy Frech: 2. Friend, Multi-instrumentalist, Bandleader, Poet, Scholar, Ventriliquist: Mike Butlin: 3. The ghost of Peter Gabriel ![]() "Guys, what...hey! I'm still alive!" Also sharing the bill are Wood Butcher and some other TBD's. See incredible pizza-themed poster for more details:
HEY DUDE(TTE)S, I'm playing a show with my side-project, LAKE COUNTRY VHS, on April 12, at C'est What - 5-Star Trailer Park is on at 9, and we'll be bringing some alt-pop-country to you around 10pm
Additionally, we have a live record for free Download/stream: A few months back, we spent a snowy weekend at a cottage in northern Ontario. After
two days of tracking, the best takes were selected and what remains is
an album of original material captured completely live with just four
microphones and no overdubs. The results are equal parts scrappy and exciting!
So without further ado, we present to you the self-titled debut album from Lake Country VHS.
You can listen to/download the complete album for free here: http://lakecountryvhs.
Lake Countrty VHS is:
Adam Brown, baritone guitar
Jordan Fine, lead guitar and vocals
David Gilgan, drums
Edward Maher, lead vocals and guitar
Gavin Maher, bass guitar and vocals
Thanks very much. Hope you enjoy.
P.S. We will be playing our last show for a little while on Thursday, April 12th at C’est What (67 Front St. E., Toronto). We will be sharing the stage with our friends Five Star Trailer Park. Show starts at 8.30 p.m. Hope to see you there! http://www.facebook.

You may already be aware (or not) that my album, HEBREW LESSONS was pressed last week and is
available now on iTunes. You may not, in which case you should check it out:
Or you could skip the preview altogether and head straight for the iTunes purchase below. I make good saleman!
It's a very exciting time here. I'm here. You're here. In the words of Jessie Spano "I'm So Excited." (Put that in your 1992 pipe and do something appropriate with it.)Anyways, my self-induced live-performance hiatus is over, so I’ve booked a show – my first solo live show in over a year – for Friday, June 24th at 9pm, at Smiling Buddha - College and Davenport. (for those curious, my self-induced Richard-Dreyfus-impersonation- doing it, all of the time. Ask for it by name! Or don't - either way, it's happening.) ![]() Photo of Fine Canadian Forces (Not pictured: Richard Dreyfus) I’ve put a good set of music together. Awesome Canad-alt-country (I just coined that genre) band, Lake Country VHS
which I also happen to play guitar in, is opening, and
gritty-90s-rock-evokers, A Northern Drawl will be closing the night. Always yours,
Never Mine
